Sorry for the long delay but a points update has been made. Right now, I have posted a partial update of the data that has been submitted. I had planned on sitting down to work on my own numbers and help another volunteer who had a problem update their numbers too, but something came up on my first day back to work today. I’m working to get that done and maybe have some time to finish tallying three sets of data (I track two due to an early volunteer being unable to continue) before I go to bed tonight. If not, I have free time all afternoon on Wednesday (which means you are welcome to chastise me thoroughly if I don’t have my data updated by Wednesday night).

We had an upset in the leading position. Not only was Crafter of Wood TB1 knocked out of the lead position, but it’s been knocked down FIVE SPOTS, putting it in sixth place. And who is our new leader? Eek the Spider, who not only has crossed the 500 point threshold, but also is the ONLY racer who found me at Geowoodstock VIII to get a picture for some heavy bonus points. Here is the shot that helped it out:

There have been some massive travel by other bugs.  All ten of the top ten racers have passed 300 points.  Some of the numbers in the top 20 are close and things can still easily change.

Expect three more data sets by Wednesday night.  I am still awaiting some data from people who are traveling so I’ll get them up as they come in.

And don’t forget to check in with my AUTOMATED PROCESS post and join in the conversation. We are looking into ways to further improve the updating process, including figuring out how to possibly automate it so that instead of waiting for volunteers to submit info to me, then me update the master file, run some processes to spit out results, then post them up here, we could have a process where volunteers just plug the numbers in on here and the results are automatically updated. Anyone with experience in website design have ideas?
